The story starts with a guy called David who doesn’t want to do illegal work and he refuses to work, meanwhile, during a fight between both of them David accidentally murders the other person and as police come, he runs away and was hiding and he was hiding at the back side of the police station, where Vijay on October 3, 2014, was hiding the body of sam in the police station and when Vijay cane outside he saw him.
David went to the house but eventually got arrested. He was in jail for seven years and after that, he was released. Now the story is that after seven years Vijay, Nandini, Anju, and Anu live together and now Vijay has a movie theater and big house but still runs a cable business.
He has the inspiration to make his movies and is about to get his script ready with writer Murad Ali. Due to Sam’s death, Anju was in trauma and was suffering from PTSD and was getting panic attacks as well. Vijay has expanded his business and the family was wealthy but people were jealous of them and started spreading rumors that Anju was in a relationship with Sam. Nandini had only one friend and that was their neighbor Jenny. Suddenly Sam’s father Mahesh came to meet Vijay and asked for Sam’s body and remains, Vijay denied it and didn’t say anything.
Nandini told Jenny that Anju murdered Sam but Jenny and her husband Shiv were undercover agents Nandini wasn’t aware of that and Jenny had a recording of everything. Tarun was Inspector General of police and was a close friend of Meera. David was finding employment and when he saw Vijay he remembered everything. Investigation again started against Vijay and their family and the police announced prize money for revealing the truth of Vijay.
David told what he saw and gave the exact location of the body. According to him, the police extracted one skeleton. Vijay saw this through CCTV cameras. Tarun arrested Vijay for investigation but nobody told anything to police.
Anju had a panic attack and Vijay saw that. Vijay could not control himself and said that he had murdered Sam. They let Vijay’s family go and record Vijay’s confession. Meera wanted the whole family to be punished. As soon as Murad got to know that Vijay was under investigation, he went to meet Tarun, Meera, and Mahesh. Murad said that in one of their meetings, Vijay told the story related to Sam’s story in which he wrote one novel book as well and published it as Drishyam. Novel Drishyam was under the name of Murad and few copies have been printed.
Vijay told the court that he had been forced to record the confession and the lawyer told him that this was all just according to the novel Drishyam and planning to plot Vijay in it. Got to know that the DNA of the skeleton did not match Sam’s. DNA was not matched because Vijay put someone else’s DNA in the box full of proof. He did this by making a security guard of the district medical college, his friend where DNA is to be examined.
He made the security guard drunk and framed DNA samples. In the end, Vijay gave Sam’s remains to Meera and Mahesh anonymously. Mahesh said that to put the remains in the holy river was their closure and they did that now they have to leave this case behind and the story ends with the happy and smiling faces of Vijay’s family.

To understand the movie you have to be familiar with the word called Deception. In the end, you’ll be confused between deception and reality. Both will look similar and the movie is just about the same. It was obvious for people to go and watch the movie because the first part of Drishyam was incredible and left a good impression on everyone so there were very less chances of Drishyam 2 being a flop.
The second part two of Drishyam is more than part one and has so much mystery. When you’ll see the climax of the movie you’ll feel great and will not regret going to the theater to watch the movie. The story of every family member is so real that everyone can relate to it and the best thing about this movie is the family issue. They have shown their love for family and yes it is a family movie as well.
Everyone has played a very important role even side characters like Gaitonde have also played a very great role. IMDB ratings are 8.3 out of 10.
Akshay Khanna is the biggest surprise because this time he’s the one who is new in the movie and his character and role are very good and incredible. You can say Deception is one of the disciplines of Ajay Devgn in the movie and that’s how he saved his family. The role of Tabu is kind of emotional because in the movie she is the mother of a son who is missing and dead but she is fighting till last after seven years as well for her son who is the killer. Content and quality there is no compromise. It is not a frame-to-frame remake, many changes have happened and have been done to make it unique.
